The construction of the new biomass boiler, initiated by Scientipole Aménagement and EDF Optimal Solutions is a concrete step towards providing sustainable energy solutions for the city of Palaiseau and the development area of Saclay, near Versailles. The new boiler could provide at least 70% of the energy requirements of the Eco-District “Camille Claudel”.
Located in front of “la place des Ecoles et de la Victoire”, the biomass boiler with its openwork panels forms an interlacing of honey brown wooden slats, crowned by a metallic attic.
The concrete lower section is stained gold to harmonise with the wood above.
