Our angle for this project is to consider the constraints and central features of the rich urban environment. The geometry of the roof edging gives an overall twisting effect, creating dynamic lines without disrupting the players’ sight lines.
Thus at the back of the grounds, beside the studios, the edging lies naturally along the party wall. On the other side, the edging on the street (rue Louis Braille) unfolds in zigzags, creating pediment-like openings, an invitation to step inside this public sports ground, whilst making a link with the changing rooms, restrooms and the adjoining buildings.
