ilimelgo is an architectural firm that puts its skills at the service of humanity by designing climates adapted to contexts and uses.
Its working method is based on dialogue and relationships with its partners to co-construct habitats whose values are ecology and integration into the landscape.
Whether we are architects, urban planners, developers, elected officials, or promoters… we must become aware of the importance of our collective work in shaping the city of tomorrow.
What city do we dream of today, and above all, what do we wish to build for our children? These are simple, fundamental questions, but the answers are not always obvious.
It will not be conventional products or ready-made answers that will satisfy in the future the needs to teach, live, work, and coexist harmoniously.
We also know the climate emergency; how much we are impacted by the depletion of our resources; water and land consumed for construction, energy wasted, and accumulating waste.
What unites us within the firm is the desire to build an environment more respectful of nature and humanity. But we also need to invent, to venture into unknown territory to grasp the scope of new uses.
Like the project La Cité Maraîchère, a remarkable educational tool aimed at better local food, which questions our ways of living and feeding ourselves in the city.
Throughout this website, other projects are presented related to the design of urban farms, food markets, educational greenhouses… All contribute to shaping a city that we wish to be more “green” of course, but also more “open,” more “innovative,” so that our way of inhabiting the world can be reinvented.
